Anaemia and Iron Levels
€ 136.00
The LOUNA Anaemia and Iron Levels package measures the iron levels in your body and provides you with useful information about a suitable diet. Iron deficiency is a typical cause of, for example, fatigue and the deterioration of the general condition. The most important tests in terms of your iron level status have been selected for the Anaemia and Iron Levels package.
The package includes measurements of, for example, reticulocytes and transferrin receptors, which provide data on the activity and functioning of red blood cells. The tests included in the package also measure the levels of folate, ferritin, and vitamin 12 in your body. The package also includes a complete blood count, which provides data on, for example, the condition of blood cells.
The LOUNA Anaemia and Iron Levels package provides data on whether your body is suffering from iron deficiency and helps you to prevent related health problems.
Tests included
Blood count
Basophils (B -Baso)
Basophils (B-Baso) is a part of complete blood count.
Eosinophils (B-Eos)
Eosinophils (B-Eos) is part of the Complete blood count.
Red blood cell count
The number of red blood cells (B-Eryt)
Hemoglobin
Haemoglobin (Hb) measures the amount of the oxygen-delivering protein in the blood.
Hematocrit
Haematocrit (B-Hkr)
Leukocytes
The number of white blood cells (B-Leuk). B-Leuk is part of the Complete blood count and Basic blood count.
Lymphocytes (B-Ly)
Lymphocytes (B-Ly) is part of the Complete blood count.
Monocytes (B -Mono)
Monocytes (B-Mono) is part of the Complete blood count.
Neutrophils (B-Neut)
Neutrophils (B-Neut) is part of the Complete blood count.
Platelets
Trombocytes (B-Trom) is part of the Complete blood count and Basic blood count.
Complete blood count
Complete blood count (CBC) provides important information on the various blood cells, their numbers and types. The blood count tests for red cells, white cells and platelets. Abnormal results for these cells may be a sign of illness.
The average amount of hemoglobin in red blood cells
Mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH) measures the amount of oxygen-delivering haemoglobin in the red blood cells. MCH is part of the Complete blood count and Basic blood count.
Avarage hemoglobin concentration in red blood cells
Mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration E-MCHC. MCHC is part of the Complete blood count and Basic blood count.
Medium erythrocyte volume
Mean corpuscular volume (E-MCV). MCV is part of the Complete blood count and Basic blood count.
Basophils
Bhasophils (L-Baso%) is part of the Complete blood count.
Eosinophils
Eosinophils (L-Eos%) is a part of the Complete blood count.
Lymphocytes
Lymphocytes (L-Ly%) is a part of the Complete blood count.
Monocytes
Monocytes (L-Monos%) is a part of the Complete blood count.
Neutrophils
Neutrophils (L-Neut%) is a part of the Complete blood count.
Iron
Reticulocytes
Reticulocyte can indicate anaemia.
Iron
All cells in the body need iron (S-Fe). The majority, approximately 70%, of iron is needed for producing haemoglobin in red blood cells.
Transferrin
Transferrin carries iron to tissues and cells of the body (fS-Transf)
Transferrin saturation
In transferrin saturation, one third of measured transferrin carries iron (fS-TrFeSat)
Ferritin
Ferritin indicates the status of the iron reserves
Transferrin receptor
Transferrin receptor carries iron into cells and tissues.
Vitamins
Folate
Folate affects the well-being of the brain and cells. Folate is water-soluble vitamin B9 that is obtained from food and produced by gut microbes.
Active vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 is needed in the production of red blood cells and the functioning of the nervous system.
Inflammation and infections
CRP, sensitive
CRP is short for C-reactive protein (S-CRP). In healthy individuals, the liver continuously produces small amounts of CRP. Its amount increases considerably in connection with infections, inflammation, and tissue damage in the body.
Preparation
Fasting is required
Diabeetikot noudattavat lääkäriltä saamaansa ohjeistusta paaston suhteen.
